This is the third episode in an ongoing personal project: a science fiction series inspired by Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri.
Over the course of this series, I’ve gained a few hundred hours of Unreal Engine experience. Using UE now feels less like wielding a tool and more like visiting a movie set.
For this episode, I used Blender 4.x (mostly 4.5, which was released right at the start of production) for modeling and texturing, and Unreal 5.6, taking advantage of all the great improvements to MetaHumans.
